Is James Harden Playing The Best Basketball Of His Career Right Now?

James Harden's days of drama in Houston and his subsequent trade to the Brooklyn Nets have somewhat changed the dynamics of the NBA.

From critics saying three ball-dominant stars can't play together and win, to the nets recently breaking their 20 years winless run in San Antonio on Monday night, the Nets have been on a roll.

Though the Nets with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were legit contenders, James Harden's arrival has elevated them to another level.

As ESPN's Brian Windhorst rightly said, Harden has morphed his game in Brooklyn and with his record-breaking performance against the San Antonio Spurs, James Harden has rightfully earned his place in the MVP conversation, though it's unlikely that he wins it this time because of the way he handled business in Houston (he recently admitted in an interview with ESPN's Rachel Nichols that he felt his trade to the nets could've gone smoother).

However, that doesn't diminish everything he's accomplished with the Nets so far, he's had 7 tripple-doubles in the last 9 games, he's leading the league in total assists and assists per game, his teammate's FG% off his passes ranks the highest in the league, he averaged 52 points per game (points and assist) in the Nets' 8 game winning streak, he's coming in every night and clocking 32-35 odd minutes, all this while constantly improving his defense (who doesn't remember his game-winning block against the Oklahoma City Thunder in kast year's playoffs).

Looking over each and every stat and advanced stat we can right now, it is safe to say that Harden is definitely playing the best basketball of his career right now, even better than his MVP season and most importantly he's having fun and enjoying the game.

While the Nets were legit contenders before his arrival, he's turned them into a formidable offensive powerhouse, and looking at everything that's been going on, there's only one conclusion and that is, "Get used to it."
